Benson Polytechnic High School Master Plan
The Benson Polytechnic High School Master Plan went through a series of revisions that were accompanied with certain work item deadlines. This page outlines the deadlines and associated resolutions, attempting to determine if the deadlines were met.
Resolution 5828 required the Superintendent to report to the Board with requested information prior to March 31, 2019, the information being the updated version of the Benson Polytechnic Master Plan.
On March 19, 2019, this was completed through Resolution 5859, which authorized the revised Master Plan
In the same vein, by May 28, 2019, Resolution 5859 obligated the Superintendent to return to the Board for 2 more items. The first item being an evaluation of Alliance at Meek campus programming to be provided no later than May 28, 2019. The second item being a return by the end of 2019 to provide updates on a Phasing Plan and on Swing Space.
Resolution 5910, passed on June 25, 2019 gives new information on the Master Plan Revisions and stated that the Superintendent intended to return with the required updates by the end of the year.
The Master plan is dated 5/30/2019, and the updates are provided after the requested date of May 28, but the updates on Alliance at Meek campus programming are included, and a staff recommendation to relocate is part of this.
There is no evidence that the Superintendent did return to the Board by the end of the year to continue the discussion of the Master Plan.
A year later:
On June 11, 2020, there is a Multiple Pathways to Graduation authorized for Benson through Resolution 6128
On July 28, 2020, Resolution 6151 authorized the submission of a Measure Election regarding the General Obligation Bonds required to help fund the plan.
