Middle Grades Framework and Middle Grades Working Group

The Middle Grades framework is an attempt to separate K-8 schools into separate elementary and middle schools. It was adopted in an early form in 2017 as part of Resolution Resolution 5451 which also dealt with school boundary changes.
There was supposed to be a working group created by the Superintendent to explore the creation of a district-wide experiential learning component of the middle grades curriculum. The deadline set by the Board in Resolution 5857 was October 31, 2019.
There was no Resolution from the October 29 Board Meeting which was the last meeting before October 31, 2019 that made any mention of this working group. There is no evidence the working group was ever convened.
