Advocacy Organizations outside of the District
Introduction
Oregon PTA
The Oregon Parent-Teacher Association, or Oregon PTA, is part of the National Parent-Teacher Organization, one of the oldest parent advocacy nonprofits in the country. The National PTA and the Oregon PTA have a long history of connections to teachers' unions and local school districts, and often put on events to help raise money for the school and their advocacy efforts. In PPS, there are a number of local chapters that each represent a corresponding school. The Fund for PPS
The Fund for PPS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) incorporated in 2019 for the purpose of fundraising on behalf of the entire district.
