2017 Measure Election

Through Resolution 5394, the Board or Superintendent was to take necessary actions to ensure that Exhibit A ( File:Board Bond Referral Packet FINAL (b5a4030f13550a60).pdf) appeared on the May 16, 2017 ballot. This meant that filing with the election officer of Multnomah County had to take place no later than March 16, 2017.

The filing was completed on March 9.

The election occurred on May 16, 2017 and the measure was passed.

Resolution 5471 acknowledges the successful election as well - "Resolution Accepting Certification from Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington Counties for May 16, 2017 Voter Approval of Authorizing Portland Public Schools to Issue up to $790 Million of General Obligation Bonds to Improve Health, Safety, Learning by Modernization, Repair Schools"
