Event 1: Board of Education - Special Meeting - August 30, 2016

perfect special meeting the board of
education for August 30th 2016 is called
to order director Rosen and director
const am hour by phone is represented
Bradley a student rep badly on the phone
to the moment no okay on July twentieth
2016 the Board of Education adopted
selection criteria for the interim
superintendent the application process
was open from July 21st through august
3rd on August fourth the Board reviewed
all applications received in German five
candidates will be interviewed
candidates were interviewed on august
eleventh and fifteenth on August
sixteenth the board passed resolution
5325 recommending that Robert Caine be
selected as interim superintendent the
board will now consider resolution 5327
approval of the employment contract for
with Robert McCain interim
superintendent public schools do I have
a motion someone been moved by director
Knowles second second second it by
directors bars of brown echoed by

any comment no no public comment any
board discussion on the resolution so
reading through the document i notice
there are several heirs with regard to
numbering and so I just wanted to read
those into the records so they can be
corrected sure so in section 3 there's a
reference to section 8 which should
instead be section 7 having to do with
at will employment in term
on section 8.3 regarding release of
claims there is again a reference to
section 8 which should be section 7 oops
in Section 7.5 with regard to sole
remedy there is a reference again to
section 8 which should be switched to
section 7 and then approved as to form a
interim general counsel stephanie harper
should be inserted into that place okay

discussion I'll just say that we're very
glad that today is we're culminating our
agreement and you're the right person at
the right time Bob so thank you for
stepping up shall we oh yeah I also
welcomed by I think we're very excited
to have you here I'm looking forward to
a long well not that long but a
semi-long relationship and starting off
in a really positive note Bob and I
really appreciate you taking this on so
thank you yeah too bad for your golf
game but worth will they have you
welcome Paul any other words of wisdom
or discussion on our resolution I'm very
very happy that you're with us Bob
thank you for taking this on I think
you're bringing a host of skills and
personality traits that i think are
exactly what we need at this point and
i'm looking forward to a very successful
year thank you perfect we're in
discussion you got anything i think is
very good choice and i wish we could
have paid him less all right all right

anything just um thank you to Bob and
welcome all right yeah thank you all
right the board will now vote on
resolution 5327 on they were please
indicate by saying yes yes yeah yeah all
opposed indicate by saying no any

approved by a vote of 70 with student
represent and Bradley not being on the
phone yet so with an abstention
